Key Responsibilities:1.
Manage Outsourced Tax Firm:a.
Oversee the performance of the outsourced tax firm to ensure compliance with agreed-upon service levels.b.
Collaborate with the outsourced firm on corporate tax filings, tax calculations, and compliance matters.c.
Serve as the primary point of contact for the outsourced tax firm regarding local tax issues.2.
Tax Invoice Review and Payments:a.
Obtain, review, and validate tax invoices to ensure they meet Brazilian tax compliance standards.b.
Ensure tax invoices are processed and paid accurately and on time.c.
Address any discrepancies in tax invoices and resolve issues with vendors or the outsourced tax firm.3.
Corporate Tax Filings:a.
Review corporate tax filings prepared by the outsourced tax firm, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and completeness.b.
Monitor tax deadlines to prevent delays and penalties.4.
Tax Guidance and Advisory:a.
Work closely with internal business teams to provide tax-related guidance on business operations and transactions.b.
Stay up-to-date on Brazilian tax law changes and assess their impact on the company s operations.5.
Process Improvement:a.
Identify opportunities to improve tax processes, reduce tax risks, and enhance efficiency.
Qualifications:Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.3+ years of experience in Brazilian tax compliance, accounting, or tax advisory (experience with indirect and corporate taxes preferred).Strong understanding of Brazilian tax regulations, including ICMS, PIS/COFINS, ISS, and corporate income taxes.Experience managing outsourced tax firms is a plus.Excellent attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to communicate complex tax issues clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Proficiency in Portuguese (required); Either English or Chinese language skills is required.Strong organizational and time management skills to meet strict deadlines.
