We are seeking a Hardware and Mechanical Engineer with experience in prototyping, manufacturing processes (particularly CNC), and basic electronics.
This position involves working closely with the development team to create hardware solutions that meet the needs of our products and educational projects at BotBot.
We are looking for a hands-on professional capable of taking initial concepts through functional prototypes and eventually to full-scale production.Key ResponsibilitiesHardware Prototyping and Manufacturing: Design, build, and iterate prototypes using CNC machining, 3D printing, and other fabrication methods.Mechanical Projects: Develop mechanical components by conducting simulations, stress tests, and design adjustments to ensure efficiency and durability.Electronics Integration: Collaborate with the electronics team to incorporate sensors, circuit boards, actuators, and other components into mechanical designs.Design for Production: Prepare prototypes for large-scale manufacturing, optimizing costs and aiming for reliability and scalability.Quality and Testing: Define and execute quality tests to guarantee the functionality and safety of components in various operational conditions.Collaboration and Documentation: Work within a multidisciplinary team, document projects, procedures, and results, as well as provide support and training to colleagues when necessary.RequirementsHardware and Mechanical Experience: Hands-on experience in prototyping, CNC machining, part fabrication, and mechanical project development.Basic Electronics Knowledge: Ability to integrate electronic components, read schematics, and conduct bench testing.Academic Background: Degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.Project Tools: Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., Fusion 360, SolidWorks) and mechanical simulation.Teamwork: Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment.English Proficiency: Intermediate or higher level (we have an international team) and solid command of Portuguese for local collaboration.Location: São Paulo, SP. This is an in-person position at our office on Av.
