QA Engineer 2508Position Summary:Our partner a rapidly growing SaaS company providing intuitive remote monitoring and endpoint management solutions for IT teams is seeking a talented and driven QA Engineer with strong expertise in both manual and automated testing.
The QA Engineer will be instrumental in guiding manual QA engineers, identifying and prioritizing test cases for automation, and ensuring the quality and efficiency of software testing processes.
In this key role, you ll lead manual QA efforts and collaborate closely with development and product teams to uphold the reliability, accuracy, and performance of the platform driving continuous improvements in testing strategy, coverage, and execution.Experience and Education:B.S.
or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related technical field/experience5+ years of experience in software testing, with expertise in creating test plans, test cases, and test strategies for both manual and automated testingProficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, with the ability to write and debug code especially in React/Node environments.Experience working with reporting teams and large datasets, ensuring data accuracy and validating end-to-end data flowsStrong analytical skills and a detail-oriented mindset, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and drive testing improvementsSkills and Strengths:Manual Testing, including testing of web applications, system-level applications, and other software types.Automation Testing, covering web applications, system-level applications, and additional software components.JavaScriptFunctional TestingNon-Functional TestingBlackbox TestingWhitebox TestingSmoke TestingTestRailTestCafeTDD (Test Driven Development)Writing Test CasesExecuting Test PlansBug Reporting in JIRASQL QueriesPostgreSQLPrimary Job Responsibilities:Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on software requirements and specifications.Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing on web and mobile applications.Identify, document, and track software defects using defect management tools.Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand product requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.Participate in test plan and requirement reviews, providing actionable feedback on features and quality aspects.Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as TestCafe, Selenium, JUnit, or similar frameworks.Execute automated test suites, analyze test results, and investigate issues to support rapid defect resolution.Coordinate with the automation team to seamlessly integrate manual and automated testing efforts.Ensure all testing activities align with the overall testing strategy, quality standards, and company guidelines.Continuously improve the QA process by developing and implementing best practices for both manual and automated testing.Provide regular status reports on test progress, defect status, and key quality metrics to the QA Manager and other stakeholders.
