As part of our roadmap, we re developing AI tools that convert floorplans into 3D layouts to accelerate design, quoting, and production workflows.Your RoleWe re seeking an AI/ML Engineer to lead the development of a system that can analyze floorplan images (PDFs, DWGs, etc.) and convert them into 3D geometry --- walls, doors, windows, and more --- ready for our CPQ engine.
You ll develop core AI capabilities and work closely with our design automation and backend teams to bring intelligent layout recognition to life.What You ll DoDesign and train deep learning models to extract spatial and semantic information from 2D floorplans (images or vector files).Develop pipelines to convert detected geometry into structured 3D models (e.g., wall objects, door/window placement).Work with vector data (DXF/DWG), PDFs, or raster images to detect key architectural features.Collaborate with CAD and backend engineers to translate AI output into parametric geometry.Optimize models for speed, accuracy, and usability in real-world production environments.Create optimal cabinetry layouts and suggestions from data provided from designers.Experience LevelsMid-Level (3-6 years experience)Strong experience with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) and vision models (YOLO, UNet, Detectron, etc.)Experience in computer vision or document/image parsingUnderstanding of geometry-based learning and spatial contextAbility to translate model output into geometric representationsSenior Level (6+ years experience)Advanced expertise in geometry-based learning, OCR with spatial context, and complex vision systemsProven ability to lead ML projects from conception to productionExperience with CAD/BIM environments, Rhino/Grasshopper, or geometry processing libraries (e.g., trimesh, Open3D)Track record of deploying ML models in real-world manufacturing or design environmentsProject leadership and team mentoring experienceBonus ExperienceExperience with CAD/BIM environments, Rhino/Grasshopper, or geometry processing librariesKnowledge of architectural drawing standards and conventionsExperience in manufacturing or design automation industriesWhy You ll Love ThisYou ll work at the bleeding edge of vision + design automation.Your work will drastically reduce the time from inspiration to production in the interiors industry.Join a cross-functional team where AI connects directly to real-world manufacturing.Competitive compensation with opportunity to pioneer AI applications in manufacturing.
