Job Title: Test Automation Contractor (Geb + Spock)Location: Remote (LATAM)Duration: 3+ Months (Starting June 30th)Project Overview:We are launching a new customer-facing project focused on UI test automation using the GEB framework with Spock.
The engagement will run for an initial 3-month period starting June 30th.
We have already secured one resource and are looking to add one more contractor to the team to support test development and execution.Job Description:We are seeking a Test Automation Contractor with hands-on experience in Geb and Spock to build and maintain UI test cases for a web-based application.
This role will involve working closely with our QA lead, customer stakeholders, and developers to interpret requirements and translate them into automated tests.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain automated UI test scripts using Geb and SpockUse Selenium WebDriver for browser automationEnsure test coverage across multiple browsers and platformsWork within an Agile/Scrum team to support regular sprint cyclesCollaborate closely with technical leads, developers, and QA team membersPerform test maintenance and update existing test cases as neededReport issues clearly and track defect resolutionsRequired Skills & Experience:2+ years of experience with Geb and Spock frameworkStrong knowledge of Groovy scriptingExperience with Selenium WebDriverSolid understanding of HTML, CSS selectors, and JavaScriptFamiliarity with cross-browser testing strategiesExperience working in Agile environmentsStrong verbal and written communication skillsDetail-oriented and proactive in identifying issues and quality gapsPreferred:Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)Exposure to behavior-driven development (BDD) principles
