Another important part of this role would be to assist the Development Manager in designing, building, and leading the next version of the product.
Technology Stack Angular, HTML/JavaScript, ASP.NET MVC, C , .NET Core, LINQ, Windows Services, Web API, WCF web services, REST, .NET Core, Microservices, Docker, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, GraphQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, Responsive Web Design, TDD, BDD, Git.
Cloud providers such as: GCP, AWS, AzureJob DescriptionPrimary ResponsibilitiesBe the primary technical contact point for the team.Oversee the code reviews, offer coaching and general technical guidance to the developers.Be an advocate of development best practices including TDD and BDD.
Ability to learn and work with existing code base, make improvements where necessary and provide ongoing development and support on the existing version of the product.Be comfortable in system design and able to assist in defining, design and build the next version of the product.Write maintainable, clean, re-usable, object-oriented, and efficient programming code in compliance with the coding standards.Be able to work on production and support issues, and work with different teams to resolve escalation issues from the field.
Identify and advise improvements to the existing product to reduce escalation issues.
Learn and understand the technical details of all relevant products and having hands-on familiarity of the system as required.Contribute fresh, new ideas during developer meetings demonstrating a commitment on-going learning.Utilizing code coverage, code metrics, and other tools to improve quality of code.Mentor and assist in the training and on-boarding of other team membersSkills RequiredA minimum of 8 years of hands-on software development experience, with at least 3 years leading a team of engineers.
Proficient English written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Hands on experience with Microservices and Docker is required.
Experience working with JIRA is preferred.Experience working with NoSQL (Cassandra, MongoDB, etc.) or any Cloud offerings (Azure, AWS, etc.) is nice to have.Experience with all or most of the technologies listed in the tech stack section above, with the ability to quickly learn and research new trends and technologies as they appear.
