Our goal is to be the leading provider of exciting technology that improves the quality of mobility in communities around the world.The Systems Engineer defines the architecture and design of the customers solution and is responsible for the definition of software and hardware products and interfaces.
The Systems Engineer coordinates system development and integration tasks to include design, integration and formal testing.
The Systems Engineer also works to support the Systems Engineering team.Primary Responsibilities:Supports the definition of software and hardware products and interfacesCoordinates system development tasks to include design, integration and formal testingOversees all transitions into customer deploymentDevelops and completes projects in system specifications, technical and logistical requirements and other disciplinesCreates and maintains programmatic and technical documentation to insure efficient planning and executionManages and documents system configurationsEnsures the deployment of the solution is successfulMaintains a thorough working knowledge of enterprise applications such as BusTime and CleverCADImplements Performance analysis and reliability analysis of the end to end protocolAdheres to protocol revisions and amendments as directed by the Director of Systems EngineeringAssists in other tasks as needed by the Systems Engineering departmentThe Systems Engineer will provide training and guidance to Associates, Project Engineer I/II as needed.Skills Required:7+ years of experience in engineering development7+ years of experience in systems engineering involving hardware, software, data and networking/communications technologiesGood understanding of the J1939 and J1708 protocols and experience with Multiplex systemsSome hardware design experience or ability to read electrical schematicsExperience with hardware troubleshooting and lab equipment desiredExperience with network and protocol troubleshooting and tools desiredExperience working with public transit is a plus, but not required.Ability to independently gather and document requirements and provide design requirements and product definitionStrong computer skills particularly with MS Office including Word, Visio, PowerPoint and Project.
Ability to learn new programs such as MS Dynamics AXAbility to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritizeStrong problem solving and troubleshooting skillsStrong written and oral communication skillsBachelor s Degree in Engineering or Computer Engineering required, Masters Degree preferred, or equivalent industry related experience.Some working knowledge of one or more of the following is a plus: C and C++, SQL, VB, JavaScript, HTML, ASP, python, databases, report generation and networkingClever Devices is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer
