About the Role:We re looking for an experienced offshore professional to represent the company on board an offshore installation vessel during a major subsea tie-back project in deep waters (2100m).
This role involves overseeing the safe and efficient execution of subsea installation activities, including risers, pipelines, and umbilicals.Key Responsibilities:Represent the company on the offshore installation vessel and ensure that all operations follow approved procedures.Promote and uphold a strong safety culture onboard, in line with the company s HSE standards.Supervise offshore activities such as equipment transfer, deck operations, pipeline and riser installation, ROV tasks, and pre-commissioning.Review and sign critical documents such as "Ready for Installation" and daily progress reports.Communicate effectively with onshore teams and ensure proper handovers between shifts.Monitor compliance with planned schedules and report any deviations.Participate in risk analysis (HIRA) and emergency response coordination.Maintain accurate records of equipment installation and ensure proper traceability.Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and marine warranty surveyors when needed.Report daily progress, concerns, and improvements directly to the SURF Manager.HSE & Quality Responsibilities:Ensure all operations are aligned with the project s HSE and quality standards.Actively contribute to the project s safety culture and continuous performance improvement.Participate in safety initiatives and awareness campaigns onboard.Team and Reporting:Reports to the Deputy Installation Manager.May supervise HSE officers, inspectors (NDT, coating, welding), marine warranty surveyors, and night shift company representatives.Qualifications & Experience Required:Degree in Engineering or equivalent.Minimum 15 years of experience in offshore oil & gas, especially in SURF and EPCI projects.Strong background in offshore construction, installation, and SIMOPS.Familiarity with Brazilian offshore regulations and HSE rules.Experience on PLSV, rigid lay vessels, and offshore construction ships.Technical knowledge of:Rigid and flexible pipelayRisers installation (Lazy wave, SHR)Structures and subsea systemsStrong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work under pressure, lead offshore teams, and manage critical situations.Fluent in English; knowledge of Portuguese and/or French is a plus.
